“I’m not photogenic!”

“I’m so awkward in front of the camera!”

“I don’t know how to pose!”

It may sound corny, but I actually believe everyone can be photogenic, and more than that, I think every person is genuinely beautiful. I think this about every person I have ever photographed.

That said, taking a portrait of someone is about a lot more than posing or looks – it’s also about how they are feeling in a given moment and whether or not they are comfortable. My priority is to make your portrait session feel like a relaxed, grounded and comfortable space for you. All you need to worry about is being present and trusting that I will take care of the rest. <3

Additional faqs

How does payment work?

A 25% nonrefundable deposit is due to officially book your session. This deposit goes toward your total session balance, which is due by the date of your session. Payment can be made via credit/debit, Venmo, Zelle, or cash.

Are payment plans available?

Yes! Payment plans are available and can be customized to suit what works best for you, whether you would like to pay in one lump sum or a handful of smaller installments (no interest or added fees ever btw).

What time will my session take place?

It depends! Since I am a natural light photographer first and foremost, I schedule sessions based on sunlight. Typically, outdoor sessions take place about 2-3 hours before sunset or right at sunrise. Indoor sessions tend to have a bit more flexibility as mid-day hours offer the kind of bright, ample light often needed to make well-lit photographs indoors.

What happens if I need to cancel?

No worries, I know things happen! The sooner you let me know, the better - that way we can work on rescheduling your session for a new date. If we are able to reschedule, your deposit & any other payments made up until that point can be applied to your new session at no additional cost. Just try to let me know if you need to cancel/reschedule ASAP, as I am not able to offer refunds for no-shows & cancellations made less than 24 hours before your session.

What is your turnaround time?

Typically about 3-4 weeks. This ensures that I can give myself the time + space I need to make my best work with diligence and care. It also factors in the time it takes to send film to the lab for development, retrieve the negatives, and then scan & convert the images. Occasionally this process takes a bit longer than usual if the mail and/or lab (and/or myself!) is backed up - and in that case, I’ll be in touch with you and do my best to give you an updated turnaround timeframe.
